TSB · Series vehicle
TSB (Series Vehicle)
The series vehicle is the second generation of the Transport System Bögl. In February 2021 it reached 169 km/h in Chengdu.

Overview
In-house development with a short stator
The TSB is not a Transrapid, but Bögl's own maglev for urban transport.
The TSB (series vehicle) is not a Transrapid derivative but a completely independent development by the Max Bögl group of companies. The most striking difference is the short-stator drive: the motor sits in the vehicle, not in the guideway.
The vehicle runs on 750 V direct current and levitates with a 7 mm air gap, compared with 10 mm for the Transrapid. In February 2021 it reached 169 km/h in Chengdu; read more in the news item TSB breaks 169 km/h.
