Transrapid Petition Update: Handover Planned for Summer 2025

Dear supporters,

After our petition for the Transrapid, with over 62,000 signatures, sent a clear signal last year for modern, fast and independent mobility, we would like to update you today on where things stand.

The handover to the Bundestag (German parliament) was originally planned for the end of 2024. Because of political delays and the early federal election, however, this step had to be postponed. Now things are finally moving: the new Federal Ministry of Transport has been formed, and since this week the new Petitions Committee of the Bundestag has also been set.

magnetbahn.de will now contact both bodies to arrange a specific date for the handover. Whether and in what form the magnetbahn.de community can attend the handover is currently being examined.
