Update of March 17, 2025: None of the parties and parliamentary groups has responded to this inquiry so far.

Just in time for the upcoming federal election, magnetbahn.de sent letters to all parliamentary groups in the Bundestag (German parliament) and to selected parties proposed by the community. The aim of this initiative is to ask for their political stance on the Transrapid and on the related petition with over 61,000 supporters.

The magnetbahn.de letter not only informs about the latest developments in the petition, but also highlights the advantages of the Transrapid system. As a high-speed means of transport with speeds of up to 500 km/h, the Transrapid offers a forward-looking solution for German and European long-distance travel.

The parties’ responses will be published in an article on magnetbahn.de a few days before the federal election. This political analysis will show which candidates and parties support the Transrapid and modern transport infrastructure, and will summarize several political statements and factors from recent months.

magnetbahn.de takes a politically neutral approach and advocates across party lines for the sustainable and efficient further development of long-distance travel in Germany and Europe. We look forward to the responses and to political perspectives on maglev technology.
