2024 Year in Review: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2024 was an exciting year for MagnetBahn and everyone who is passionate about the future of mobility. Our drive to reach millions of people, set political impulses and advance the vision of sustainable, forward-looking mobility was a complete success. From broad media presence to exciting political encounters and the further development of our platform, this year had it all.

1. Reaching an audience of millions for the first time

For the first time, we reached an audience in the low millions. Thanks in particular to the four-part DAVE documentary, which fascinated millions through its reach and by being picked up by other influential figures, the maglev topic is more present than ever. Our content on Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, TV and maglevhub.com also contributed to this success.

2. Transrapid petition with strong tailwind

Almost 60,000 supporters have already signed our petition for the Transrapid, clear proof of the growing enthusiasm among the public. The petition runs until early March 2025, and we are curious how many more people will join us.

3. MagnetBahn stickers widely distributed

Our MagnetBahn stickers, styled like imaginary train tickets, were a hit! Thousands are now in circulation, spreading our vision and setting small but important signals for the future of mobility.

4. Political reach

Political support is essential, and we are pleased with our successes this year: in May, we were able to ask Christian Lindner, the German finance minister, directly for his opinion. In addition, Transport Minister Volker Wissing publicly gave positive feedback on the Transrapid, a big step for political awareness.

5. New look, new content: magnetbahn.de

Another highlight: in September, magnetbahn.org became the new magnetbahn.de. With a fresh design, new features and content that had not been online before, we created a platform that conveys our mission even better and connects our community more closely.

6. Insights from China

China's progress in maglev technology is impressive, and this year we gained many new insights through our trips and reports. Our YouTube and TikTok videos on the topic are very popular and spark discussions in the comments.

Outlook and thanks

2024 was a year full of highlights and important milestones, but we are still a long way from our goal. The Transrapid remains the key technology for sustainably revolutionizing long-distance travel in Germany and Europe. With this year's tailwind, we will make 2025 an even more epic year!
